Your track, in the browser
Podium is Pitboard's RC racing game. A 1/8 off-road buggy, circuits taken from real tracks, lap times that count. It all runs in the browser, with nothing to install. You drive with the keyboard, a gamepad, or your own radio controller.

Your drivers train at home, on your track
Between two sessions, a club goes flat. It rains, the track closes, and nobody drives for a fortnight.
Podium keeps the track open. Your members ride your corners in the evening, from home. They compare their times, they challenge each other, and they turn up at the club already knowing the layout.
A timing system measures your races. It does nothing with the weeks in between. That is exactly where the game works for you.
What Podium actually does
A real track, not a backdrop
The layouts are taken from real tracks, with their tables, doubles and whoops. The buggy has weight, suspension and grip. A mistake costs you just like at the club.
Timing that counts
Every completed lap is recorded. The ranking is decided over three consecutive laps, like a qualifier. One botched lap breaks the run.
The rubber stays on the track
The marks build up from one session to the next, and the racing line shows through like on a real track. You can see where the others go.
Three ways to drive, take your pick
You need no gear at all to start. The arrow keys are enough, and plenty of drivers never move on.
The circuits
From the easiest to the most demanding. The school circuit opens first, the others unlock after three clean laps. A beginner dropped onto the European championship track crashes for ten minutes and leaves.
Training track
Wide, no traps, under the sun. Easy car and the ideal line shown on track: the circuit to learn on.

The Footbridge
An iron deck you cross at full speed, then duck under half a lap later. Whoops, a table and a double around the only bridge in the game.

Race your mates the very same evening
You create a room, read its code out over the phone, and everyone lines up on the grid. Two to eight drivers together.
The format is chosen right before the start: three, five, eight or ten minutes. The countdown speaks, the horn releases everyone at once, and nobody can move before it.
A room can be protected with a password. The club then rides among its own, without meeting anybody else.
Draw your own circuit
The editor draws the centre line with the mouse, with the measurements appearing as you go. Track width, whoops, tables, doubles, holes: everything is laid out and checked before anyone drives on it.
Access to the editor is granted on request, account by account. A published circuit then carries everybody's lap times, so it goes through a review before it enters the game.
You can also import your own 3D objects, in .glb format. A pit stand, a footbridge, a sponsor board: your club's scenery, where it belongs.
That is how a replica of your own track can end up in the game, not just ours.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a radio controller to play?
No. The game drives very well on the arrow keys, and even better on a gamepad. Plugging in your real radio over USB brings the trackside feel, but that is a bonus, not a requirement.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Podium opens in the browser of a computer, PC or Mac. There is nothing to download and nothing to update.
Is it free?
Yes. All you need is a Pitboard account, which is free too and asks for no card.
Can I try it without creating an account?
No. The timing, the ranking and the rooms all need to know who is driving, otherwise no lap time means anything any more. Signing up takes a minute.
Can we play together?
Yes. Two to eight drivers per room, in a timed race or in free practice. A room can be password protected, so the club rides among its own members.
Can my club's track make it into the game?
The editor lets you draw a layout with the mouse, and the 3D import lets you drop your club's scenery onto it. Write to us: this is exactly the kind of project we like.
